A Brief History

Set in the leafy suburb of Stirling, between Epsom and Dunbar Roads, East London, South Africa, our school has long since stood for excellence in education.

Established in 1954, Stirling has grown from a fledgling primary school with some 60 pupils to a vibrant, progressive school steeped in traditional values.  We currently educate over 1200 children each year.  The school has not only experienced numerical growth, but has grown significantly in reputation and is known for its academic, cultural and sporting excellence.  The vision and energy of principals and governors over the years has resulted in excellent facilities and resources – some of which are unparalleled in the region.
